For many people,
pregnancy is a time to rejoice and prepare. But for some, an unexpected pregnancy can
bring fear and confusion. It may seem as though there's no light at the end of the tunnel.
Some people, even friends and family, may pressure a pregnant woman to take drastic
measures. But her health and welfare are too important to act before she fully understands
the consequences.
At the LifeCare
Centers, we don't provide a quick fix and we don't look only at the current dilemma. We
offer assistance to a woman as a whole person: We work with women because we know they
have emotional, spiritual, and physical needs.
A pregnancy
affects other people too. For this reason, our counselors often assist boyfriends,
friends, husbands, and families in accepting and supporting the pregnancy.

A Prayer for the Sanctity of Life
O Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son,
Who is in the bosom of the Father, True God, source of life and immortality, Light of
Light, who has come into the world to enlighten it; You were pleased to be conceived in
the womb of the Virgin Mary for the salvation of our souls by the power of Your All-Holy
Spirit; O Master, Who has come that we might have life more abundantly, we ask You to
enlighten the minds and hearts of those blinded to the truth that life begins at
conception, and that the unborn are already in the womb adorned with Your image and
likeness; enable us to guard, cherish and protect the lives of all those who are unable to
care for themselves; for You Yourself are the Bestower of Life, bringing each person from
non-being into being; sealing each person with divine and infinite love. Raise up in our
day more and more faithful and courageous people who in witness to your love will open
their hearts and homes to give refuge to those struggling with unplanned pregnancies. Be
merciful, O Lord, to those who, through ignorance or willfulness, affront Your divine
goodness and providence through the evil act of abortion. May the fire of your divine love
sear the consciences of all who would sacrifice the lives of the innocent and unborn for
their own political ends. May they, and all of us, come to the light of Your Truth and
glorify You, the Giver of Life, together with Your Father, Who is from everlasting, and
Your All-Holy good and Life-giving Spirit. AMEN!
